HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 19

Requesting that the Governor submit budgets for the fiscal years 1995-1996 and 1996-1997 that are no higher than the revenue projections provided by the West Virginia Research League.
Whereas, The State of West Virginia has raised taxes significantly over the last five years; and
Whereas, Additional taxes would reduce employment opportunities for West Virginians; and
Whereas, The citizens of the State of West Virginia believe that the present tax rates are sufficient to properly operate the government; therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Delegates:
That our Governor is requested to submit budgets for the next two years which are no higher than the revenue projection provided by the West Virginia Research League; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates be hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Governor.
